When did I start out?

I began taking music seriously in 2021, when I was 16 years old. I started uploading my music to YouTube and steadily grew a following since then. In the beginning, I posted my songs as acoustic demos but soon decided to take the next step. In August of 2022, I ventured into a recording studio, ready to record my first fully-arranged single “I Can Hear the Flowers Laugh,” which was released early in October of that year.

Behind my brand and lyricism

As I grow older, I grow more and more aware of the extensive power of popular media over young, and even mature minds alike. Art is culture, who’s roots seep deep into our core, from the books we read, to the movies we watch, from the clothes that we wear to the painting perched on our living room wall. And of course, to the music that we listen to. Whether actively or passively, art plays a large role in our development and social/political views as a society.

Therefore, as an artist as well as just an individual, I take it as my civil duty to uplift, educate and aid my community, and henceforth the world, in being better, stronger and more mindful through my lyrics!

Our flaws is where we can learn most about ourselves and truly test the toughness of our spirit. Which is why, whether I’m touching on individual turmoils or the individual struggle with society, I like to take on and tackle different kinds of subjects that are convoluted and in some ways uncomfortable with my often illustrative, intricate, and storytelling songwriting.

Behind my music’s production

I produce/compose and oversee all of the instrumentals for my tracks.

When it comes to instrumentalism, I’ve beeing playing guitar for about nine years now, and I’m primarily a vocalist and guitarist, initializing my compositions through those musical parts.

Likewise however, my secondary instruments are bass guitar and mandolin, which I exercise very commonly, as well as piano, which is my tertiary. I’ve been utilizing piano more actively recently, in different kinds of synth ornamentation.

In addition, I play various folk instruments too, such as the concertina accordion and the kalimba, which I hope to include more in my future compositions!

I like learning and trying out different kinds of unique instruments and sounds, and I’m always one for musical experimentation! I like blending different rhythmic and melodic textures to create a more modern and innovative rock sound, and I’m not afraid of experimenting with electronic music, which I often add trails of in my recent work.

In my free time, I find myself working out my composer chops and engineering skills in the world of sound design, as well as exercising myself in various other musical genres such as folk, EDM and Lo-Fi, and Binaural Beats. I also like dabbling in minor field-recording from time to time.

Binaural Rock: What’s “3D sound” and Atmos Mixing?

Binaural Panning, or Atmos Panning, is a technique that creates a 3D stereo sound sensation, as if the music is being played all around you in real life/time. It’s a technique I started implementing in my song mixes, engineering it all by myself!

I’m still learning, finding out new ways to incorporate and process this effect into my work. But, I’m proud to say that I’m taking this risk of putting such a rare and unpredictable feature into my music because I believe that it is game-changing!

Plans/future goals & extra facts

My album “Jejune,” has officially came out! On June 15. And with that, I’m planning to bestow some of my time towards more video projects.

I edit all of my video content! Including my music videos. And so, I’m planning to be even more active in that content department. Moreover, I’m going to keep working on pushing out new music, and revisiting some of my older songs by rerecording and remixing them in the Binaural Rock style!

Overall, I like being very hands-on with every part of the creative process. I often illustrate or edit all of my music’s artwork myself! I’m a very confident user in Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and of course, Logic Pro!
